Mermaids of the Deep Blue

This is after about a week of working on her:

I have put her away for now though to focus on my Christmas stitching. Hopefully I can bring her out around New Years to finish this one up! :)

Joan Elliott Iris Fairy

Got some time to stitch finally this weekend, so here is a little more of Iris Fairy done, that sleeve seemed to not want to be finished.  The frogs really hated me this weekend.  I hope they go visit someone else now, or better yet, just go find a good pond to hang out in.

Just a little Finish

Design: Here Be Dragons
Designer: Dragon Dreams

I started this little design while I was doing my finals for college. It took me the span of a wek to get it all stitched up. I plan on mounting it as a box top.

My Sister, Vicki, and I

have just been redecorating our house and we finally got around to framing some of our stitching (by no means all of it, after all these years) but I thought I'd take a few pictures.  I am definitely not a good photographer (Parkies shake when holding a camera) but here is some of what I came up with.  We kinda frame our own cross stitch, we can't really afford to take it all and have it professionally framed, I sure wish I could.  Here goes.  These were mostly taken in our livng  area.

A Little More of Joan Elliott Iris Done

adore Polstitches fabric, I love the smell while I am stitching as well as the beautiful colors.  This is my second Joan Elliott.  The first was the Magic Dragon, but this is the first fairy, the detail is just amazing.
PS the fabric is colorful clouds Jobelan 28 count, so pretty.  I also started MIrabilia pixie Pansy on what I believe is Polstitches Wisteria 28ct Jobelan. I want to put all flower Pixies and Fairies up in my bedroom.

Until later, have a great 4th of July.

Joan Elliott's Iris Fairy

Some Done On Iris Fairy on 28ct Colorful Clouds by Polstitches.  Slowly stitching :)

She's Done

I finally finished Mirabilia Millennium Angel.  I started her a long time ago (probably 10 years ago) and have been working on her off and on.  She has been my focus for probably 2 months.  I thought she would never be finished.

I am now working on another WIP by Mirabilia - Autumn Queen so since it is not fantasy, it won't be posted here but I will be putting it on my stitching blog.  I have also been doing some small projects.  My next fantasy ones will be a SAL by Passione Ricamo and Solstice and Equinox which is an HAED (my son chose this one for him - I hope to have it done after his four years of premed - he is a senior in high school).  I will post those here as I get some done.

My First HAED

I started my first ever HAED recently, Dragon Soul , and having chosen 28ct evenweave fabric I put in a few stitches and then decided for the sake of my eyes to change to 16ct aida. I bought a 17"x17" snap frame and started again. My Petite Treasure Braid came in the post yesterday,I thought I'd try it instead of the Kreinik suggested. I am in a metallic area so I will be seeing what it looks like next time I pick the design up.

My progress so far.

HAED Winter Spirit

I am currently working on a QS from Heaven and Earth Designs of a painting done by Josephine Wall. It is mainly done up up of blues and purples. Really pretty picture and I can't wait to work on her more. Here is the picture of the painting:

I have been working on this project since maybe mid March. My stitching bug seemed to have left me for about the last two weeks until I forced myself to pick it up again and start working. I am working on 18 count Aida doing full crosses. Almost done the first page, only one other full page to do after then it is all partial pages to do! The colors are off a bit but you get the idea :)

Joan Elliott Stitch Along

Well I noticed Wednesday was a Joan Elliott Stitch along so I decided to post a picture of my Christmas Angel. I didn't get too much done since I was distracted by hockey (GO CANUCKS!) but I did manage to get her face and a little birdie done.

Millenium Angel

This is a project I started ages ago. This was one of the first Mirabilia I started. Used the fabric they suggested for it at the time. Thought I should get back to work on her. Can't remember when I last worked on her, but figured I had so much done needed to try to finish her.

Unicorn and Maiden Happy Dance

WooHoo She is Finished.
My Unicorn and Maiden by Joan Elliott. She is my First Joan Elliott and definitely not my last. I stitched her on what I believe is a Silkweaver Solo.

Joan Elliott's Christmas Angel

First off I want to say thank you for letting me join everyone here. I love the whole concept of the idea of posting projects we are all working on! It really has helped me find my stitchy bug again after it went astray a few weeks ago after finishing Emerald Mermaid by Mirabilia, here is a photo of the complete stitching:

I have now moved onto Joan Elliott's Christmas Angel that I have been working on for almost three years now. I have picked her up and put her down many times over the course of these years. I am sure if I just sat down and focused solely on her she would have been complete by now! School had gotten in the way though and so have many other projects but here she is before I started stitching her the past two days:

And here she is after those two days of stitching:

I am taking her to Vancouver with me when we go to visit some family this weekend. Should get in a few good stitching sessions with my mom and auntie. Hopefully she will be all complete and ready to be washed by the time we get back...unless of course I somehow find a new project to stitch while I am away! Like Joan Elliott's Cinderella that my nan just so happened to buy for me and how I can go and buy all of the threads while visiting hehe!!

2 down 6 to go

Fire Wing Eclipse on Polstitches Rustic Rhubarb.  There are a total of 8 dragons in a circle around this baby the wings are so busy, they do take awhile to stitch.
Now on to Joan Elliott's Iris Fairy.

I got a little more done on Tiger Lily by Nora Corbett.

Keep you fingers crossed I can sneak in a couple more good days with little shaking.

Eclipse after the weekend

I finished the first dragon on Fire Wing Eclipse.  It is a little frustrating to stitch so slowly but at least I am stitching again.

Here is my current progress.
Now on to tiger lily by Mirabilia.

Sorry I have been missing

I have recently started treatment for Parkinson's, Fibromyalgia and sleep apnea, so I my time has been messed up.  Anyway onward we go.

I have started to get back to stitching after a four month break.  I started a new piece Fire Wing Designs Eclipse.  I am very slow with my hands shaking, but the meds do help a little and I refuse to quit stitching.  So here is my slow progress.
This is one wing of the dragon.  When I finish the first dragon, I will go  back to Tiger Lily.

Tracery Dragons by Teresa Wentzler

I spent most of the weekend on this piece and have made some progress. I hope to have this piece ready for the framer by week's end. But this section does include another of those time consuming roses so it may take longer. I tend to be overly optimistic about what I can accomplish in any given time period. However, when I am this close to finishing a piece, I find I am energized and manage to squeeze in more stitching time than usual.

Tracery Dragons Progress

Just thought I'd post a photo of my latest progress onTeresa Wentzler's Tracery Dragons.

MotDB

I put some more stitches into the one on the left over the IHSW.

I had hoped to be farther along but had to frog a bit as I decided I wanted to keep stitching Saturday night even though I was really tired.

It's been a while ...

... approximately three months since I did any stitching on Teresa Wentzler's Tracery Dragons. But I decided to make the dragons my focus project for the International Hermit and Stitching Weekend and made a reasonable amount of progress. After the long break, it was surprisingly easy to recover my rhythm and enthusiasm for this piece. It even seemed easier to stitch, somehow. Go figure that one out! Though I really don't get much stitching time in the early part of the week, usually an hour or less a day, I think I'll continue to make this my focus piece through Wednesday. I am anxious to see just how far I can get with this project before the week is out.
