Mostly Mermaids

Hi, my name is Tracy and I have been stitching for over 20 years but have been stitching large (Mirabilia's) projects for only 4 years.  I live in Phoenix, Arizona and it stays quite hot outdoors for about 6 months of the year.  I don't own a pool and I am a stay at home wife so that leaves a lot of time for indoor activities such as stitching.  I currently have so many framed pieces around my home that I don't know how much longer I can keep producing more of these.  The thing is that I fall in love with my finished works and never want to put them away.

So far, I have stitched 5 Mirabilia mermaids and 1 Passione Ricamo mermaid.  It wasn't that I was originally into mermaids but those were the designs that I liked best.  I am now stitching my first fairy, a large one, Fairy Flora also from Mirabilia.  My goal is to inspire and be a positive influence in the world of stitching.  I hope to get to know the members of this board and become good friends.

I love your mermaids Tracy. I'm currently stitching Mira's Bluebeard's Mermaid as part of the Yuku board SAL. Have you been there? They're mad about mermaids, several people are planning to stitch them all.

I check out the yuku board every now and then. I haven't gotten that involved in that board however.

Your mermaids are beautiful. I have a lot of them in my stash to do :). I just got fairy flora out with the eye to start next year. So glad you are here. Our house is totally cross stitch, Vicki is my sister and our house is wall to wall cross stitch (have her show you a picture of some of her work, fantastic)
